With a drive time of approximately fifty minutes from Salzburg airport, and with a flight time from London, Doncaster, East Midlands, Coventry and Birmingham of just over one hour thirty minutes and flights from Scotland and Ireland approximately two hours, this region provides one of the quickest times from departure to being "in resort" if you are travelling from the UK. Zauchensee/Altenmarkt Train
The train from Salzburg to Radstadt/Atenmarkt takes betweens an hour and a hour and a half. It takes a few minutes longer to reach Altenmarkt village, however, this service is limited and you will need to change to a local or regional train in Bischofshofen. Altenmarkt train station has connecting services from Salzburg, Graz and Radstadt. So If you are travelling from London, you could catch one of the regular Eurostar trains leave from St Pancras station to Brussels-Midi. From Brussels there is an Intercity Express train to Frankfurt, where you change to Salzburg taking its regional trains directly to Altenmarkt. We will be more than happy to pick you up from the Radstadt/Altenmarkt station with prior notice. You can book your train tickets in advance but we usually just turn up and buy tickets on the day of travel. Book here.
