Zauchensee is an old Austrian farming area that in more recent times has adapted to become the superb skiing area it is today. In stark contrast to some purpose built towns which have simply been created to serve the skiing industry, Zauchensee has maintained a truely traditional feel and atmosphere. As a result, the town has a unique character and charm, and there is just as much to see and do in the summer months as there is in the winter months, in and around this alpine resort.
